The City of Chillicothe is paying Main Street to water the flowers and trees in the downtown area. City Administrator Darin Chappell says, even though it is a Main Street project, the city had originally agreed to do the watering.
The City Council approved an ordinance to pay Main Street $2,500 a year to do the watering. He says this may be rolled into the annual contract the city has with Main Street.
