The 57th annual Essay contest for Farmers Electric Cooperative will provide winning Juniors and Sophomores an opportunity to travel to Jefferson City or to Washington DC. Three sophomores will win trips to the Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience (C.Y.C.L.E.) in Jefferson City, while the junior class will be competing to win one of two trips to Washington, D.C.
To be eligible, the sophomores and juniors must attend a high school located within the service area of Farmers’ Electric Cooperative, that includes Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Clinton, Daviess, Dekalb, Livingston, Linn or Ray County or be a homeschooled resident in the service area. The students DO NOT have to be a Member of the Cooperative to participate.
Essay information may be picked up at your school or at the FEC office in Chillicothe. It is also available online at www.fec-co.com.

The essay may range between 250-600 words in length.
The essay contest deadline is Friday, January 17, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. If mailed, the essay must be postmarked on or before the deadline.
