The School year in Chillicothe begins August 16th, and parents are busy working to purchase all of the school supplies and cloths for the children, so they can start the year all stocked and in style. Parents and older students that are driving need to start thinking about what traffic will be like on the roads and near the schools when that new school year starts. Sargent Jake Angle from the Missouri Highway Patrol says buses will be on the road and stopping often.
Angle says the start of the new school years means those students that received their license over the summer will be experiencing the congestion around schools. He says those younger drivers and everyone else need to pay close attention near the schools.
