City of Chillicothe employees may soon have an option of NOT receiving the city benefit of the employer-provided health insurance coverage and instead receive an additional amount of compensation. City Administrator Darin Chappell asked the City Council on Monday to consider giving the employees an opportunity to “Opt-Out” of the health insurance.
The council agreed to have the City Attorney prepare an ordinance for consideration at the next meeting.
The council asked that this opt-out include the employee providing proof of insurance under another policy.
