A Linneus woman was involved in an accident that left a Steeleville, IL woman with minor injuries Wednesday night. State Troopers report 71-year-old Mary Waltemate of Steeleville was taken to University Hospital in Columbia following the accident at about 8:00 pm in Boone County. According to the report, 39-year-old Lukas Romine of Centralia was crossing US 63 and was struck by the vehicle driven by 37-year-old Angela Murrell of Linneus, totaling both vehicles. Waltemate was a passenger in the Romine vehicle and was the only one injured in the accident. They were wearing safety belts.
