A lengthy methamphetamine investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and The Chillicothe Police Department resulted in an arrest Wednesday. Sheriff Steve Cox reported deputies stopped a suspect vehicle on US 36 near the airport, where an additional investigation took place, including the use of K9 Zaki, who alerted to odors of drugs. As a result, investigators seized suspected Methamphetamine and controlled prescription medication packaged improperly.
Cox also reported the arrest of 48-year-old Amy L. Nieman of Mooresville for alleged Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and Possession of Controlled Substance-scheduled prescription medication. Nieman was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
