A 25-year-old Polo man died in a two-vehicle accident in Ray County Wednesday morning. State Troopers report the accident happened at 6:00 am on Missouri 210. Twenty-five-year-old Justin Hicks of Polo died of injuries that happened when he was westbound and began skidding, his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Larry York of Rayville. Hicks was taken to North Kansas City Hospital where he died. York had serious injuries and was also taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment. Hicks was not wearing a safety belt.
