The 2020 Livingston County Budget will be finalized today. The second and final public hearing is at 10:00 am in the Commission Room of the Livingston County Courthouse.
The Commission meeting starts at 9:30 am.
The public hearing will include a review of the expenditures that total near $8 million this year. For this budget, Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says the county approved adding another employee in the Public Administrator’s office, a deputy was added for the Sheriff’s office, there was also a new vehicle for the sheriff’s department and other equipment purchases. In addition, the County switched to a partially self-insured health insurance program.
Another public hearing is also on the agenda for this morning. At 11:00 am is a public hearing to consider a conditional use permit for a Cell Tower west of Utica and about a half-mile north of US 36.
