The Livingston County Health Ordinance, which includes regulations for Confined Animals Feeding Operations or CAFO’s, will be part of Thursday’s meeting of the Livingston County Commission.
The meeting will start Thursday at 9:30 am in the Commission Room of the Courthouse. They will handle County Road and Bridge Matters and Administrative and Departmental Responsibilities.
At 1:00 pm, the Commissioners will move to the Associate Courtroom, on the second floor of the Courthouse for a discussion on the County’s Health Ordinance. The discussion is the result of a large hog operation proposed in northern Livingston County and if Senate Bill 391, which was passed last year by the state legislature would require changes to the County’s Health Ordinance.
The discussion is expected to include several lawyers representing various interests.
There are no permits for such an operation on the agenda.
