The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or DESE monitors the school districts across the state for various standards, including finances. The Chillicothe R-II School District recently received a letter from DESE with concerns about the district’s finances. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says this has to do with the declining reserves for the district.
