District basketball games in the KCHI listening area Thursday night:
Class 1 District 14 Boys Semi Finals
#1 Princeton beat #5 North Harrison 72-47
#2 Mercer over Pattonsburg 55-44 to improve to 21-6
Class 1 District 13 Finals
#2 seed Orrick upset #1 seed Southwest Livingston in the boys final game 60-57. Orrick, coached by former Chillicothe Coach Matt Brownsberger, had just one win on the season four years ago. Southwest ends the season at 19-5.
#1 seed Norborne girls had few problems picking up the district title with a 49-23 win over Braymer. Norborne is now 25-1 on the season.
Class 1 District 12 Boys Semi Finals
#1 Meadville boys improved to 24-2 with a 57-52 win over Green City.
Meadville will face Brunswick for the District Championship. Brunswick beat Hale/Bosworth 56-45.
Class 2 District 15 Semi Finals
#1 Plattsburg beat Penney of Hamilton boys 66-48 to advance to the title game. They will play #2 Gallatin, a 64-43 winner over South Harrison boys.
Class 3 District 16 Semi Finals
#1 Kansas City Central beat St Pius X boys 59-44 to advance to the title game. They will play Maryville, a 66-51 winner over Lathrop.
