The Chillicothe Fire Department responded to two fire calls over the weekend.
Saturday
Hale Fire Department requested Chillicothe to provide mutual aid with a grass fire in the southeast part of the county. Firefighters arrived on the scene and helped control and extinguish the grass fire. Approximately 30 acres of grass field had burned. No structures were involved and no injuries reported.
Also on Saturday, Firefighters were called for a grass fire at a home on Grandview in Chillicothe. They arrived to find the fire was out of control and close to a house. They worked to control and extinguish the fire before it spread to a nearby structure. No injuries were reported and no structures damaged.
