It was a very busy day for the Chillicothe Police Department Tuesday, with 141 calls for service. Some of the calls include:
12:30 AM, Officer checked on an abandoned vehicle at Danner Park.
1:10 AM, Officer assisted Livingston County Deputy with a traffic stop at Locust and Washington Street.
3:30 AM, Officer conducted a well-being check in the 1000 block of Locust Street after receiving a 911 hang-up call. The person was not located.
12:24 PM, checked a parking complaint from a business in the 1000 block of South Washington. Officers contacted the owner.
2:17 PM, a well-being check was conducted in the 800 block of Business 36. The person was found to be safe.
3:19 PM, Officer responded to Washington and Bryan for a report of a single-vehicle non-injury accident. The driver was experiencing a medical issue and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.
3:42 PM, Officer investigated a report of theft in the 600 block of St. Louis.
5:13 PM, illegal dumping at a business was reported in the 1700 block of Locust Street.
6:04 PM, Officer investigated a report of theft from a business in the 10 block of Second Street.
6:29 PM, Officer responded to Verelle Peniston School on a report of a light being turned off and on inside the school. The light in question was an exterior security light, however, the officer located an unsecured door, checked the building for intruders, and secured the building after it was deemed safe.
