The Chillicothe City Council met Monday with several of the department heads and the media present. The meeting was held via teleconference.
The council approved the amendments to the 2019/2020 to actual figures. The additional expenditures that were not in the original budget totaled 1.376 million dollars.
In the Permanent Street Fund, the increase was $575,000. City Administrator Darin Chappell explained the increase.
The North Central Missouri Railroad expenditures increased $250,000. That was for the railroad ties that needed to be replaced to allow for the storage of rail cars on the city-owned rail line.
For the Fire Department Sales Tax Fund, the increase was explained by City Auditor Hannah Fletcher.
Lesser increases include amounts from $3,000 to $54,000.
