Chillicothe’s newest Fire Truck is nearly ready for delivery. Four members of the Chillicothe Fire Department traveled to the Rosenbauer Fire Equipment plant near Sioux Falls, South Dakota last week to inspect the department’s new smaller pumper/ariel truck. Chief Eric Reeter says the crew completed their inspection and found a mirror with a camera that was cracked. That will have to be replaced before the truck can be delivered.
Reeter says he is unsure when the part will be available and due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus, they do not know when the truck will be delivered.
When the new truck is delivered, the department will still have to complete the outfitting of the truck with equipment and will receive training on the truck’s operation.
