A 150 year old Church building that has significant importance to Chillicothe and Livingston County was donated to the Grand River Historical Society Museum and it will be moved in early September. Curator Pam Klingerman talked about the significance of the church.
Klingerman says it was the first AME church constructed north of the Missouri River after the Civil War.
To assist in the moving, the Museum received a sizeable donation from a local organization Wednesday morning.
Klingerman says the move will take place over a three day period after the Chautauqua weekend.
The move will take place right down Washington Street, during daylight hours, likely between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. More information on the move schedule will be announced as the move dates approach.
