The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 77 calls for service Wednesday. They include:
6:20 am, Officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Broadway Street to a report of an intruder possibly in the residence. Officers checked the premises and contacted the resident. Everything determined to be OK.
7:36 am, Officers and Emergency Services responded to the 1300 block of Monroe Street for a resident having anxiety issues and possibly wanting to harm themselves. The person was transported to Hedrick Medical Center, treated and later released.
9:12 am, Officers and Emergency Services responded to an alarm in the 700 block of Clay Street. It was determined that a tenant had burned food on their stove which activated the alarm.
9:36 am, Officers received a report of alleged sexual assault that has taken place in the 400 block of Third Street. This is an on-going investigation.
11:37 am, Report of an older vehicle on the parking lot of a business in the 1200 block of N. Washington Street. Possibly drugs in the vehicle. Officers arrived on the scene and were unable to locate the described vehicle.
1:12 pm, Officers responded with Family Services to the 300 block of Jackson Street for a reported possible child abuse. Investigation continuing.
2:00 pm, Officers were out with Sheriff’s Department with a medical & civil issue at the Courthouse. No report.
2:57 pm, Officers spoke with a local bank about a fraud investigation involving several jurisdictions. Investigation continuing.
4:35 pm, Officers assisted the Sheriff’s Department on a pedestrian check near the railroad tracks at Third and Ashley. The person attempted to evade Deputies and was apprehended along the tracks and was taken into custody by Deputies.
5:08 pm, Officer responded to the 10 block of Third Street to a fire possibly getting out of control. Officer checked and determined the fire was within ordinance requirements. No report.
