The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 70 calls for service Thursday. The calls included several investigations and one arrest.
8:48 am, Officer in the 10 block of S. Washington Street arrested a 19-year-old Chillicothe resident on a probation violation warrant. They were processed and transported to Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail.
11:05 am, Officer checking area of E. Jackson Street for a child walking in the middle of the street with two bicycles. Officer did locate one child riding a bicycle. That child was OK.
11:54 am, Officer out in the 1400 block of Polk Street on child sex abuse investigation. Information obtained and investigation continuing.
12:41 pm, Report of debris in the roadway at Hwy.190 and US 65. Debris removed from the roadway by Officer.
12:59 pm, Officer performing well-being check on residents in the 1100 block of Webster Street. Officers contacted residents and found OK, having phone issues.
3:19 pm, Officer spoke to a Warsaw resident who possibly is victim of fraud where local banking institution was utilized. The victim was advised to contact his local jurisdiction for reporting the incident. Investigation continuing.
4:02 pm, Officer spoke with a person that had received a harassing Email. They were advised to delete the email as it was a scam.
7:59 pm, Report from a business in the 400 block of S. Washington that someone was making harassing phone calls to the business. The person was contacted by phone and advised to stop the calls and to not return to the business location.
9:24 pm, Officer speaking on phone with subject wanting to provide information on criminal activity. Information was received to continue the investigation.
