The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department investigated several incidents in the county. They include:
LCSO recently stopped a vehicle on U.S. 36 for excessive speed and immediately noticed the vehicle contained marijuana. The Minnesota driver was compliant with the investigation which resulted in the seizure of high-grade marijuana, item(s) marked with having THC potency of 91.164% and drug paraphernalia. The driver was cited for drug paraphernalia violation and released with a court date.
Deputies completed an investigation of burglary to a business and stealing. A Kansas City man was arrested by the Chillicothe Police and released on that matter pending court appearance. The suspect’s vehicle had been towed by a local towing company. Deputies later began an investigation as that suspect’s vehicle had been removed from their property without paying. Further investigation shows the suspect allegedly illegally entered the building and removed keys and removed his vehicle from the property. A warrant is sought for the individual.
April 11th, deputies investigated a dog bite incident where a juvenile was treated at HMC for injuries. The animal owner is cooperating with the incident and the Livingston County Health Department has properly been notified.
Deputies are investigating a report of forgery where multiple items have allegedly been forged. Investigation continues.
