A LaPlata resident, 36-year-old Audra Owen Newcomer, was taken to the Missouri Department of Corrections this week after sentencing on two counts of stealing. The arrest was made in January of 2018 and Newcomer pled guilty in February of 2018. He was sentenced to serve five years on each count and the sentences would run consecutive to other sentences.
Newcomer had previously been sentenced in Adair County on burglary charges.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department transported Newcomer to the Department of Corrections on Wednesday.
