The Chillicothe City Council approved several ordinances Monday night as part of the regular agenda.
The first item was the approval of using $170,000 from Capital Improvement for Street Department purchases. They include a new Loader and a new Pick-up.
The council also approved the purchase of two zero-turn mowers for the Parks Department. The mowers were purchased from Terry Implement. The total price was $28,800, with trade-in allowed of $11,500. The balance was $17,300.
In addition, the Council approved the ordinance for inspection of Railroad Bridges. The bid was awarded to Koppers Railroad Structures. The bid was the lowest of those submitted. The total cost is $11,800 to inspect four bridges.
