Livingston County Sheriff’s Report

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department provided updates on several cases where they have been involved.

The man that was arrested in Clay County following a vehicle theft in Chillicothe on Monday and running from officers remains in custody with Clay County.  Sheriff Steve Cox says 26-year-old Nicholas Paul Hagler of Independence is on the Livingston County Most Wanted list for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on an original felony charge of auto theft.   He is also wanted on a warrant in Jackson County and will be turned over to that agency first to begin his lengthy court process in several counties.

Deputies completed an investigation on domestic assault from April and submitted the case for potential charges on both adults for alleged assault.

The Sheriff’s Office received the lab report back from an incident in February involving a man allegedly driving under the influence of drugs. The Prosecuting Attorney will now seek charges against the suspect.

May 17 LCSO investigated a residential burglary at an unoccupied building west of Chillicothe.  The owners responded and reported nothing was missing and the break-in had to have taken place within the previous week.

Fantazia was arrested by Platte County authorities for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on Livingston County warrant for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.  Bond is set at $10,000 cash.  He was extradited to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
