The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 100 calls for service Monday, including several well-being checks for people and animals.
7:35 am, Officers were called to a business in the 300 block of South Washington Street on a report of a Burglary, Property Damage, and Theft. This investigation is ongoing.
4:12 pm, Officers out in the 600 block of St. Louis Street on possible drug violation. The investigation continues.
5:47 pm, Officers investigated a single-vehicle crash where the vehicle overturned near the east city limits on Ryan Lane. The vehicle was being driven by a 43-year-old Chillicothe resident. The incident is still under investigation.
7:47 pm, Officers investigated a report of an assault in a vehicle in the alleyway between Gale and Herriman Street. The incident caused the driver to go into a ditch and up against a wooden fence after hitting a utility pole and damaging the steering. Witnesses and the driver were contacted and provided statements. Information on a suspect was obtained. The report states the suspect will be contacted and charges may be filed with juvenile authority.
8:02 pm, Officer responded to the 200 block of Woodrow Street for a Domestic assault. Officers arrested a 32-year-old man for the assault. He was processed and held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
