Chillicothe Fire Chief Eric Reeter requested changes in the organizational chart for the department at Monday’s City Council meeting. Reeter talked about the changes.
Reeter says when the Batallion Chief’s position becomes open through attrition, the position would be eliminated and a third Captain would be hired.
The Chief will bring recommendations to the council to fill the Lieutenant and engineer positions in an executive session later this week.
Reeter says they will keep the Assistant Chief in the organizational chart for future use, but will not be filling the position at this time.
The revised organizational chart for the Chillicothe Fire Department was approved by the council on a 4-0 vote.
