A single-vehicle accident in Hale left a passenger with serious injuries Sunday evening. Twenty-three-year-old Dakota Hendricks of Carrollton was taken to Research Hospital in Kansas City for treatment of serious injuries following the accident at about 8:45 pm on East Sunset Drive, east on Main Street in Hale. The report states the pick-up driven by 22-year-old Brandon Boin of Bosworth was not injured in the accident that happened when they were eastbound and ran off the road and struck an embankment. They were not wearing safety belts.
