Two single-vehicle accidents left the drivers with minor and moderate injuries.
In Sullivan County at about 8:00 am Tuesday, 22-year-old Robert Carmack of Milan had minor injuries in an accident that happened on Highway 5, south of Milan. According to the Highway Patrol, Carmack was southbound and struck a deer in the roadway. His vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned. He was not wearing a safety belt and was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
In Grundy County at about 1:50 this morning, a semi was westbound on Highway 6, northeast of Jamesport and ran off the road. The truck struck a roadsign and continued before overturning, coming to rest on its side. The driver, 31-year-old Travis Ury of Ridgeway was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton for treatment of moderate injuries. He was not wearing a safety belt.
