The Special Olympics Polar Plunge will be held in Chillicothe in February. Carrie Pfiefer with the local Special Olympics organization says they have held the event at Lake Viking for 14 years and chose to move the event to Chillicothe.
Pfiefer says they will use a waist-deep tank for the plunge. The Plunge will be on February 14th at 1:00 pm in the circle drive closest to the pool.
The council approved the use of Simpson Park for the event on a vote of 4/0.
