The building that houses the Jamesport Post Office collapsed this (Wednesday) morning. Daviess County Emergency Management reports the building collapse happened about 9:30 am. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports the area around the building has been closed off and they are asking the public to stay clear of the building. The report states there was no-one in the building at the time and there were no injuries.
The collapse remains under investigation.
