The number of accidents and fatalities on the Missouri roadways is rising this year and Sargent Jake Angle from the Missouri Highway Patrol says speed is one of the factors contributing to the issue.
He says distractions in the vehicle are another factor in many crashes.
Angle says a seatbelt could help reduce injuries and fatalities in a crash.
