State Troopers report one accident and three arrests in the area counties over the weekend. They include:
Saturday at about 2:00 am in Sullivan County, 20-year-old Drake Oxendale of Shelbina was injured and arrested after an accident on Highway 6, east of Milan. According to the report, Oxendale was eastbound and ran off the road, struck a field entrance and his vehicle went airborne, then overturned. Oxendale was wearing a safety belt and was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. He was also arrested for alleged DWI and minor in possession of alcohol He was released for treatment.
Saturday at about 10:05 pm in Daviess County, Troopers arrested 31-year-old Devin Sparks of Merriam Kansas for alleged DWI – with a minor in the vehicle, no valid license, and speeding. She was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on a 12-hour hold.
Sunday at about 2:00 am in Daviess County, Troopers arrested 37-year-old Timothy Nguyen of Trenton for alleged DWI with drugs and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway. He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on a 12-hour hold.
