A boating accident Sunday on the Missouri River left one person with moderate injuries. State Troopers report the accident happened at the Highway 13 bridge in Lafayette County during a period of heavy fog. At about 7:30 am, the boats piloted by 51-year-old David Swearingin of Carrollton was headed west and 52-year-old Paul Bowser of Lexington was headed east and the boats collided.
A passenger in Bowser’s boat had moderate injuries and was taken to Center Point Medical Center for treatment.
