The Chillicothe Girls Volleyball team opened their season with a three sets win at Trenton 25-12, 25-14 and 25-12.
Coach Bob Long said the Chillicothe jumped out to a good start with freshman Delanie Kieffer and senior Ella Leamer hitting big serves. Leamer had nine aces and Kieffer seven on the evening.
In statistical leaders, Maya Snyder had five kills and six aces, Essie Hicks had six kills and eight aces.
The Chillicothe Junior Varsity won 25-16, 25-11. Kayanna Cranmer led the team with six kills.
The Hornets C-team also won at Trenton 256, 25-11. Maci Johnson, Madison Albaugh and Delanie Clements all had good games, according to Coach Long.
The Lady Hornets host Brookfield on Tuesday the 8th. It will be Senior Night for Chillicothe.
