An accident involving a semi and a combine Tuesday morning left one person with minor injuries, Chillicothe Emergency services responded to a crash that happened about 8:20 am on US 36 at LIV 405, a mile west of Mooresville. State Troopers report the combine, driven by 60-year-old Curt Shonk of Breckenridge, was westbound and a semi, driven by 72-year-old Daniel Deal of Kansas City, was also westbound and attempted to pass the combine, hitting the drivers side rear tire. The combine went into the median and overturned, coming to rest on its side. The semi went off the north side of the road and came to rest on its wheels.
Shonk was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The truck driver was not injured.
