A Dalton Missouri man was arrested by State Troopers in Chariton County Tuesday. Sixty-two-year-old Elmer Tatum was arrested at about 10:15 am for alleged possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, and no seatbelt. He was processed at the Chariton County Jail and released.

A portion of 1st Street will be closed Saturday for a free concert at the Sliced Bread Welcome Center. Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples says 1st Street will be closed starting at 5:00 pm and will re-open at 10:00 pm for the event. The street closing is between Elm and Locust Streets.
