The Chillicothe Lady Hornets softball 10-game winning streak has come to an end with a 6 to 3 loss at Macon.
Both teams scored one run in the first inning. Macon turned in a four-run fifth inning and scored again in the sixth for a six to one score. Chillicothe scored twice in the top of the seventh inning.
Chillicothe’s lead off hitter Sophia Luetticke went four for four with a double and three singles, one rbi and two runs scored. Bre Pithan had a double and single with Hope Helton, Kinlei Boley and Kirsten Dunn each with a single.
Mollie Ellis was the starting pitcher with Halle Rucker in relief. The two combined to give up six runs, only one earned, off six hits with two strike outs, one walk and one home run. Chillicothe also had three errors in the game.
