The replacement of the Route 139 Grand River Overflow Bridge near Sumner will begin after the first of January. The Missouri Department of Transporation announced the project was awarded to Boone Construction, with a bid of just over $1,434,000.
The contract for the replacement allowed the contractor to begin as early as October 15th, but Boone Construction announced they would begin the work shortly after the start of the new year. Announcements will be made for road closures and detours.
