The Chillicothe R-II School Board approved an amendment to the Lease Purchase agreement that spreads the payment for the work at the middle school this summer over several years. Superintendent Dr Roger Barnes says it helps to save the district’s operating budget.
Barnes says because some of the districts buildings are 50 to 60 years old, they have seen this problem at another building as well.
Barnes says the Lease Purchase allows the district to finance those repairs over a 10 year period.
