Road and Bridge work on the westbound lanes of US 36 continues for the next month. The work requires one of the westbound lanes to be closed. MoDOT contractors began the work this week on US 36, at the Higgins Ditch Bridge. This has required the lane closure between Meadville and Laclede.
While the lane is closed, a 14-foot width restriction will be in place across the Higgins Ditch Bridge. Most of the work will be off the roadway, but motorists should exercise extreme caution as construction vehicles will enter and exit the work zone frequently throughout the project.
