An incident that began last Saturday night ended early this (Wednesday) morning with an arrest. The Chillicothe Police Department responded Saturday evening to the 300 block of Edgerton on a report of a stolen vehicle. Later that night they were called to the 400 block of Jackson on a report of an intoxicated and unwanted person at the home. The officers arrived to find the person had left. They also found the vehicle that had been reported stolen and witnesses confirmed it had been driven to the location by the intoxicated person.
Sunday at about 2:20 pm officers were called to the 600 block of Commercial because the same individual was in the resident’s vehicle, doing something that should be done in private. The person fled before officers arrived.
This (Wednesday) morning, officers located the 22-year-old man inside an abandoned vehicle in the 400 block of Webster. The man was arrested and taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
