State Troopers investigated three accidents in the area counties on Thursday.
At about 12:50 pm in Saline County, a single-vehicle accident on US 65, near Route 127, left a passenger with moderate injuries. State Troopers report 42-year-old Henry Cowherd of Carrollton was southbound and the front passenger side wheel fell off. The car ran off the road and struck a utility pole. The passenger, 48-year-old Jennie Vanfleet of Carrollton was treated at Fitzgibbon Hospital for moderate injuries.
At about 4:30 pm in Daviess County, a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 35 near Winston left the Driver and SIX passengers with minor and moderate injuries. According to the report, 21-year-old Eian Wright of Lenexa, KS was southbound on I-35 and ran off the left side of the road. Wright overcorrected and ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. Three refused treatment, the other four were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
At about 9:40 pm in Carroll County, a two-vehicle accident left one driver and their passenger with minor injuries. According to the report, 36-year-old Michael W Tipton of Salisbury was westbound on US 24 and ran into the back of another westbound vehicle, driven by 40-year-old Randall S Reams of Brookfield. Reams and his 8-year-old passenger had minor injuries and were taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment. Tipton was not injured.
