The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 121 calls for service on New Year’s Eve. The calls include:
1:23 am, Officer out at Hedrick Medical Center with a person brought from Linn County for evaluation and treatment. The person was leaving premises against medical advice. They calmed down and returned to the facility.
7:34 am, Officers assisted Emergency Services with a 50 yr. old unresponsive subject in the 10 block of Lakeview Drive. Livingston County Coroner’s Office was contacted.
2:05 pm, Officers responded to the intersection of Sunset Ave, and Northwood Terrace, for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident where a vehicle slid on ice and struck another vehicle. Minor damage inflicted.
3:57 pm, Officers responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident at Easton and 11th Street. Officers reported a southbound vehicle failed to yield the right of way and struck an eastbound vehicle causing major damage to both vehicles. No Injuries were reported.
5:33 pm, Domestic disturbance in the 100 block of E. Bridge involving Juvenile. The Juvenile was eventually brought to PD where the Juvenile Officer and Chillicothe Officer eventually resolved the situation and the juvenile was released to the parents.
7:26 pm, Officers were dispatched to Country Club Drive and Brennan Drive, for a single-vehicle accident with no injuries… The car struck a street sign causing damage to the sign and then struck a tree in the yard of a home causing major damage to the vehicle. One individual was arrested on scene for Domestic Assault.
10:21 pm, Officer checking vehicle at a business in the 10 block of Brunswick Street. Employee, OK.
11:28 pm, Reported domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street. A 21-year-old Chillicothe resident was arrested for Domestic Assault and taken to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.
