The Livingston County Commissioners continue the budget review process as they prepare the 2021 County Budget. The budget includes all departments and several special funds within the county. The county commission also hears requests from other groups.
The commissioners have scheduled three meetings for the week of January 11th. They include Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday starting at 9:30 am in the commission room. The agendas include a review of the 2021 budget requests, county road and bridge matters, and administrative and departmental responsibilities.
In Tuesday’s meeting, the commissioners will meet with Leslie Patek from the Livingston County Humane Society Animal Shelter to hear her budget request.
The meetings of the County Commission are open to the public.
The Commission has also scheduled their first of two public hearings on the budget. It will be on January 19th at 10:00 am in the Commission Room. The budget will then be available for public review, in the Clerk’s office, until the time of the final hearing on January 29th at 10:00 am in the Commission Room of the courthouse.
