A dog shot while on the owner’s property in Wheeling is under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Steve Cox says the incident happened Saturday and they received the call about 9:45 pm. The report states the dog was shot with a shotgun and had injuries from multiple pellets. The black dog with an orange collar was at a location in the 100 block of State Street in Wheeling.
