The Chillicothe Hornets Basketball team fell behind early and never caught up, losing at Kirksville 61 to 38. Chillicothe trailed by 14 points after the first quarter and trailed by double figures the rest of the game.
The Hornets were led by Griff Bonderer with eleven, Hayden Simmer with ten, Wyatt Brandsgaard with eight, James Mathew with six, Mason Baxter with two, Eli Cross with one and playing time for Kyle Young, Alijah Hibner and Landon Winder. Kirksville improved to 13-3 and Chillicothe fell to 12-8 on the season.
The Kirksville JV boys team also won 36 to 30. Chillicothe was led by Gabe Hansen with nine, Landon Winder with eight, Alijah Hibner with seven, Cameron Fleener with four and Quentin Cranmer with two points.
