March 1st to the 5th is Severe Weather Preparedness week, an opportunity to get ready for the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, tornadoes, and flooding. National Weather Service Meteorologist Jared Leighton says being prepared is the key to taking appropriate action.
Other topics that will be covered through the week include Tornadoes – and there will be a Tornado Warning DRILL Tuesday at 10:00 am. Wednesday is Lightning, Thursday – Hail and Wind, and on Friday we will discuss Flooding, both river and stream flooding and Flash Flooding
