Livingston Co. Sheriff’s Office Investigations and Arrests Report

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report for the last 9 days of February includes several investigations.  Some of the items in the report include:

February 19th, School Resource Officer Mike Lewis reported a juvenile was removed from a local public school due to alleged possession of marijuana.  Parents were contacted as was the juvenile officer.

February 22nd deputies investigated a report of property damage to a mailbox in Dawn. Investigation continues.

February 24th, deputies began an investigation of Hindering Prosecution.  The report states one or more people allegedly provided material aid in the way of a vehicle and information of law enforcement looking for the suspect, to a fugitive knowing the person was wanted by authorities.

February 24th, Deputies responded to Avalon on a report of elder abuse.  Investigation shows elderly female and another woman had been arguing and gotten into an altercation.  An ambulance was summoned for the elderly woman who refused treatment and refused to cooperate with deputies.  No further investigation.

February 24th, at 11:41 am a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic offense in Chillicothe and the driver had a revoked/suspended driver’s license.  The driver initially attempted to use the vehicle to flee from the deputy.  Once stopped the driver was reportedly belligerent and uncooperative.  The deputy noticed the driver allegedly throw out a baggie containing methamphetamine.  The investigation shows the suspect appears to have torn open the baggie with his mouth and may have ingested methamphetamine prior to tossing the bag out and in an attempt to tamper with evidence.  Charges are sought for alleged methamphetamine possession and tampering with physical evidence.  The suspect is in custody on other warrants at this time.


02-27-21  Sheriff’s Arrests

 

Several arrests are in the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report.

Arrests of from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department Most Wanted List include:

Greene County authorities arrested 34-year-old Daniel W. McGraw on February 19th.  McGraw was wanted on Livingston County warrant for alleged Stealing-$750 or MORE.  He was extradited and taken to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

Chillicothe officers arrested 34-year-old Scott Shannon on February 20th, on a Livingston County warrant for alleged DWI-Persistent Offender and two misdemeanor traffic offense warrants.  Shannon was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

Deputies arrested 26-year-old Seth Michael Cooper of Sedalia on February 24th on a Livingston County warrant for alleged felony Abuse/Neglect of a Child.  He posted bond and was released.

Other Arrests:

February 23rd at 1:38 am, a deputy witnessed a vehicle driving poorly on US 36.  The vehicle was stopped and 52-year-old James Richard Stephenson of Faucett was arrested for alleged Driving While Revoked.  Mr. Stephenson was processed and released.

February 24th Deputies arrested 33-year-old Brandon Scott Simpson of Chillicothe on a Missouri Parole Warrant.

February 25th at 9:59 am Deputies arrested 39-year-old Michael Lee Hart of Chillicothe on a Livingston County warrant for alleged DWI-Persistent Offender.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

February 25thDeputies and State Troopers located and arrested 43-year-old Benjamin T. Milazzo in the rural Chula area.  The arrest was on Grundy County arrest warrants for alleged Non-Support and multiple traffic offense warrants.  Milazzo was also arrested on 2 warrants from Andrew County on drug offenses and one traffic-related offense warrant.  Those warrants had no bond allowed.  He was transferred to the custody of the Grundy County Sheriff.

February 19th at about 2:43 pm deputies and K-9 Zaki assisted the Chillicothe Police with an arrest warrant on Polk Street.  36-year-old Joshua Moore of Chillicothe was arrested on a Livingston County warrant for alleged 2 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Child,  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
