The 2020/21 budget for the City of Chillicothe was amended Monday prior to the closing of the fiscal year. City Administrator Darin Chappell says this is a requirement as the budget must reflect the actual spending.
Chappell says they went into the fiscal year VERY conservative due to COVID-19, but found the city was doing well as the year progressed.
He says even with the additional projects and purchases, the city is in excellent financial condition.
