Chillicothe’s top tennis player has advanced to the next round in the postseason.
The Hornets Chace Corbin picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win over Matthew Goodridge of Maryville in the sectional round at Chillicothe. Savannah accounted for the rest of the wins.
Savannah won the other singles match up with Carrollton 6-0, 6-0.
The Savages swept the doubles competition, with Collier and Collier beating Chillicothe’s Caleb Corbin and Carter Allen 6-1, 7-6 winning the tiebreaker 7-4
The other Savannah doubles team beat Trenton’s Villacampa and Sager 6-4, 2-6
