Chillicothe is one of eleven schools in the state to receive recognition for students completing the annual Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications. The State of Missouri was promoting an increase in the number of students completing the forms required for financial aid before April 1st.
Schools were recognized for the Highest Percentage of seniors completing the forms, the Most Improved number over the previous year, the Greatest Number of low-income filers, and the Most Innovative strategy for promoting the program.
Chillicothe placed second in the Most Improved Completion category with an increase of 33.4% over the previous year.
As one of the schools named a winner, Chillicothe R-II was allowed to designation one student who will attend a Missouri Post-Secondary School as the recipient of a scholarship of $750. That scholarship was presented to Lucas Campbell.
