The Chillicothe Lady Hornets soccer season came to an end Thursday night. The Maryville Lady Spoofhounds scored twice in the second half to come from behind and beat Chillicothe 2-1.
Chillicothe finishes the season 15 and 8, the third consecutive season with 15 wins, not including last year’s COVID cancellation of the girls soccer season.
The Chillicothe Baseball team now knows their next playoff opponent. On the25th, Chillicothe will take on fellow MEC school St Joseph Lafayette. The Irish beat Savannah 7-0 to win the District 16 tournament and improve to 17-7.
Lafayette edged Chillicothe on April 27th 4 to 3. In that game Chillicothe scored 1 in the second and two in the third before Lafayette scored all four of their runs in the third inning off a grand slam home run.
Chillicothe Tennis Player Chace Corbin begins his state singles tennis quest today (5/21). Corbin will take on a player from Springfield Greenwood. The winner plays again later in the day against the winner of a Barstow vs Nevada match-up.
